Thank you for choosing BFA! In preparation of your appointment, please read through our policy below before scheduling an appointment to familiarize yourself with our culture. We expect each client to have an understanding of the policy upon entering the salon.   1. All new clients must schedule a consultation before scheduling their initial hair appointment.

    • Consultations can be scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We do not schedule consultations on Saturdays.

    • Please remember, a consultation does not guarantee a hair appointment. Following the successful consultation, we will then schedule your hair appointment. 

  2. Services that are more than 3 hours require a deposit of $50 to hold the time slot.

    • Payments can be made via cash, cash app $bfasalon, and venmo @Ashley-Gissentanna 

    • Deposits go towards the total amount of the service.

      • Deposits are non-refundable. 

        1. If the client does not show up to their appointment, the deposit will be taken and will not go towards any future appointments. 

    • If you need to reschedule your appointment, deposits can go towards your future appointment within 30 days after it was sent.  After 30 days, your deposit will not be available for use.

  3. All clients must complete the prescreening survey before their scheduled appointment. 

    • If you are not feeling well or have COVID-like symptoms please reschedule your appointment. 

      • If the survey is completed incorrectly and a COVID-like symptom is displayed during your appointment, your service will be immediately terminated, and there will be a charge of 50% of your service. Booking will not be available until two weeks after quarantining.

  4. No style changes are allowed within 48 hours of service. 

  5. If your child is being serviced please bring a distraction such as a phone or ipad to occupy the child's attention during the service.  If the child does not have one, we will give the child our salon ipad during the service and the rental charge will be added at checkout. 

  6. If the client chooses a service that does not include a wash, condition and blow dry and did not schedule it prior to the hair appointment, there will be a $50 fee added to the total amount of service. 

  7. If the client comes to their hair appointment without their hair taken out of their previous style, such as box braids, and needs their previous style to be removed along with a wash and blowout, there will be a $75 fee added to the total amount of service. 

  8. When you arrive for your appointment, please text (516) 366-4636. 

    • Please do not enter the building on your own.

    • Upon arrival, clients will be asked for a temperature check at the door. 

  9. Face mask must be worn upon entering the building and for the entire length of the service. 

    • BFA has cotton face mask for sale starting from $10 and up. The mask includes a filter and is machine washable. Mask are available for purchase through our website www.bfausallc.com and in our salon location. 

    • If you come to the building without a face mask, one will be given to you and the price will be added to your service. 

  10. Once inside the salon, we ask that you use the hand sanitizer supplied by the salon, located at the front desk. 

  11. For payment options we accept cash, credit/debit cards, venmo and cash app. 

    • When paying with credit/ debit cards there is a 3.5% convenience fee. All other methods do not have a convenience fee. 

  12. Please be on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be rescheduled. 

    —  cancellation PolicY  —

    1. There is a 50% cancellation fee for any no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.

    2. Clients are allowed to reschedule their appointments up to three times. Any rescheduling after that will not be allowed and we will charge the 50% cancellation fee.

    3. We do not have a waiting list. All last minute openings will be posted on our instagram page @_beautyforash

—  Emergency Fee  —

  1. This $50 fee covers a range of circumstances in which clients receive services that are outside the day to day operations of business. Some situations include but are not limited to: 

    1. Last minute squeeze in clients outside of salon hours. 

    2. Taking out or correcting work that we did not do. 

—  Ipad —

We have an ipad rental for $5 during your time of service.
